Basic User Guide
- Open HuePix on your iPhone or iPad.
- Choose a camera lens and select either Paint mode or Motion mode.
- Use the Style, Shoot, and Overlay controls to shape the capture before pressing the shutter.
- Press the shutter to start the exposure, move the camera or subject to create the motion effect, then press again to stop.
- After capture, refine the take with Image, Crop, Overlay, Paint, Double Vision, and Settings controls.
- Save the finished image to Photos, or keep premium takes in the HuePix gallery so you can reopen, favorite, duplicate, and export later.
Tips for Better Results
- Start with a clear subject and move slowly. Small camera movements often create smoother paint trails.
- Try Paint mode when you want a textured, brush-like result, and Motion mode when you want classic motion blur.
- Use overlays and first-frame or last-frame blending to bring structure back into a motion capture.
- Use Paint masks when you want the painted look to affect only part of the image.
- Use crop presets such as Original, 1:1, 4:5, 3:4, or 16:9 before exporting for a specific destination.

What does HuePix do?
HuePix is a motion painting camera. It captures live camera exposures and lets you blend movement, paint texture, overlays, masks, and double vision effects into a finished image.
What is the difference between Paint and Motion mode?
Paint mode is designed for a painterly motion look. Motion mode gives a more classic long-exposure motion blur result.
Does HuePix upload my captures?
No. HuePix processes captures locally on your Apple device. Your photos are not uploaded to our servers.
Do I need an account?
No. The core HuePix experience does not require an account or login.
Where are finished images saved?
Finished images are saved to your Photos library when you choose the save option. Premium users can also keep takes in the HuePix gallery for later review and editing.
What does HuePix Premium unlock?
HuePix Premium unlocks the full motion painting camera, including deeper paint style controls, textured motion blur with local clarity, and the ability to save takes to the gallery, review favorites, reopen edits, and export later.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open the premium screen and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
